How to Measure a Square Toilet Seat

The good news is that you can quickly and easily replace your toilet seat to help ensure your new toilet seat fits like a glove. You'll need a measuring tape, a pencil, and some paper to measure the toilet seat.
Measuring a new toilet seat is really easy. You will need to take 4 measurements of the toilet: length, width, height and the distance between the fixing holes.
1. For the length, place the end of the measuring tape between the mounting holes and out to the very front of the toilet.
2. For width, measure the entire pan at its widest point.
3. For height, measure the distance between the fixing hole and the tank or wall.
4. Please pay attention to the distance between the 2 fixing holes, because these fixing holes sometimes vary from seat to seat.
