Yellow stains are a nuisance and unfortunately have been found on toilet seats in many homes. Fortunately, a cleaning expert has shared the "most effective" way to remove them without bleach.
"One of the most effective ways to get rid of these yellow stains on toilet seats is to make a baking soda paste and a lot of elbow grease," says Chris.
To remove yellow stains from toilet seats with baking soda, experts advise: First apply disinfectant and antiseptic to the surface of the toilet seat and let it sit for five to ten minutes. As it sits, measure out a quarter cup of baking soda, add about 50 ml of warm water, and continue to whisk until it becomes a paste. Make sure to use lukewarm water, as this will make it easier to remove yellow stains. Chris continued: "Then, wipe the seat with a damp towel and apply the paste to the stained surface. Leave the paste on for another 10 minutes, then scrub vigorously with a soft, damp scouring pad in circular motions. , until the stain is gone." Make sure the scouring pad is free of scratches to avoid dents that could damage the toilet seat. So no matter what causes pesky toilet stains, there will be more surfaces spreading their yellow color in the future.
