How to properly clean Toilet Seat hinges

The cleaning process for our metal and plastic hinges is relatively uncomplicated. Just wipe the hinges with a cloth dampened with some standard glass cleaner or alcohol cleaner. Then scrub with clean water and wipe with a dry cloth. If stubborn stains remain on the hinges, you can use a small cleaning brush or an old toothbrush dampened with a vinegar based cleaner. Then use clean water to scrub and wipe with a dry cloth. Otherwise, the acid in the vinegar-based cleaner could cause the hinges to rust.
